APPLICATION SUBMISSION FOR APTITUDE TEST 2023

Examination Eligibility and Application Deadline Information:

Eligible Lists for Examinations:
The list of eligible candidates for the upcoming examinations will be made available on the University website two days prior to the scheduled examination date. If you have any inquiries regarding admission letters or need clarifications on any other matters, please contact us via email at the following address:

Application Deadline:
All completed applications must be submitted online, along with the required documents, no later than 6:00 p.m. on the 3rd of October, 2023. Please note that submissions received after this deadline will not be accepted.

(1) Bachelor of Architecture Degree

(Faculty of Architecture)
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Architecture Degree program for the academic year 2022, candidates must meet the following criteria, as outlined in Sections 1.2 and 2.2.8.6 of the UGC Handbook 2022/2023:

(i) Candidates must have obtained an "S" Pass in at least one of the following subjects:

  • Art
  • Geography
  • Biology
  • Higher Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Combined Mathematics

And,

(ii) Candidates must also have obtained passes in other subject(s) from the following list:

  • Accounting
  • Hindi
  • Arabic
  • Hindu Civilization
  • Buddhist Civilization
  • History
  • Business Statistics
  • Home Economics
  • Business Studies
  • Islamic Civilization
  • Chinese
  • Japanese
  • Greek & Roman Civilization
  • Logic & Scientific Method
  • Economics
  • Political Science
  • Mathematics
  • Pali
  • English
  • Sanskrit
  • French
  • Sinhala
  • German
  • Tamil
  • Communication & Media Studies
  • Christian Civilization
  • Agricultural Science
  • Information & Communication Technology

Note: Candidates who possess passes in any three subjects listed under (i) above are also eligible to apply for the Aptitude Test mentioned above.

In addition, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Obtain at least an Ordinary Pass (S) in English at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination.
  • Obtain at least a Credit Pass (C) in Mathematics at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination or an Ordinary Pass (S) in Mathematics at the G.C.E (A/L) Examination.

(2) Bachelor of Design Degree

(Faculty of Architecture)
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Design Degree program for the academic year 2022, candidates must meet the following criteria, as outlined in Sections 1.2 and 2.2.8.9 of the UGC Handbook 2022/2023:

Candidates who sat for the G.C.E (A/L) examination in the year 2022 must have obtained at least "S" grades in any three subjects at the G.C.E (A/L) Examination.

In addition, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Obtain at least an Ordinary Pass (S) in English at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination.
  • Obtain at least a Credit Pass (C) in Mathematics at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination or an Ordinary Pass (S) in Mathematics at the G.C.E (A/L) Examination.
  • Obtain at least a Credit Pass (C) in Science at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination.

(3) Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Degree

(Faculty of Architecture)
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Degree program for the academic year 2022, candidates must meet the following criteria, as outlined in Sections 1.2 and 2.2.8.8 of the UGC Handbook 2022/2023:

(i) Candidates must have obtained at least an "S" Pass in at least one of the following subjects:

  • Art
  • Geography
  • Biology
  • Higher Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Combined Mathematics
  • Agricultural Science

And,

(ii) Candidates must also have obtained passes in other subject(s) from the following list:

  • Accounting

To be eligible for admission to the Fashion Design & Product Development Degree program for the academic year 2022, candidates must meet the following criteria, as outlined in Sections 1.2 and 2.2.8.7 of the UGC Handbook 2022/2023:

Candidates who sat for the G.C.E (A/L) examination in the year 2022 should have obtained at least "S" Grades in any three subjects at the G.C.E (A/L) Examination.

In addition, candidates must meet the following requirement:

  • Obtain at least a Credit Pass (C) in English, Mathematics, and Science at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination.

(5) Information Technology & Management Degree

(Faculty of Information Technology)
To be eligible for admission to the Information Technology & Management Degree program for the academic year 2022, candidates must meet the following criteria, as outlined in Sections 1.2 and 2.2.8.22 of the UGC Handbook 2022/2023:

Candidates who sat for the G.C.E (A/L) examination in the year 2022 should have passed the three subjects with at least a 'C' grade in two of the following subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination:

  • Higher Mathematics
  • Geography
  • Business Statistics
  • Combined Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Logic & Scientific Method
  • Accounting
  • Physics
  • Information & Communication Technology
  • Economics
  • Mathematics

In addition, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Obtain at least a Credit Pass (C) in English at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination.
  • Obtain at least a Credit Pass (C) in Mathematics at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination.
