Jaffna unoversity extend a warm invitation to eligible candidates to apply for the Bachelor of Science Honours in Physical Education program for the Academic Year 2022/2023. The application period is open from September 7, 2023, to September 19, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science Honours in Physical Education program, applicants must have achieved a minimum of three "S" grades in any three subjects in the G.C.E (A/L) examination held in 2022 and meet the university admission requirements for the academic year 2022/2023.
Evaluation Process:
Applications will undergo the following evaluation process:
Theory Test: To assess candidates' knowledge in the field of Physical Education.
Practical Test: To evaluate candidates' physical fitness and playing abilities.
Previous Sports Achievements: Marks will be allocated based on applicants' previous sports achievements. Candidates must submit certified copies of certificates for their highest sports achievements along with their applications.
Application Submission:
Applicants are kindly requested to submit their applications online through the University's website by September 19, 2023. Along with the application, please attach the following documents:
- Payment receipt for the application fee.
- Photocopy of the G.C.E (A/L) 2022 result sheet.
- Certified copies of certificates for your highest sports achievements, certified by the school principal or a Justice of the Peace.
The signed downloaded application form, original payment receipt, G.C.E (A/L) 2022 result sheet, and certified copies of sports achievement certificates should be sent via registered mail or delivered in person to the Assistant Registrar, Admissions Branch, University of Jaffna, Ramanathan Road, Thirunelvely. Please clearly label the envelope with "Application for Physical Education – 2022/2023" on the left-hand corner. The deadline for submission is September 21, 2023.
Admission Cards:
Eligible candidates will receive their Admission Cards via email.

Payment Details:
The application fee is Rs. 2,000/= and can be paid at any branch of the Peoples' Bank in favor of the University of Jaffna, Account No. 440002410001667. Please note that online payments are not accepted for this purpose.
Important Note:
Applications that do not meet the minimum admission requirements, do not include the payment voucher, lack a certified photocopy of the G.C.E (A/L) 2022 results sheet, or are received after the closing date will not be considered.
