The Colombo university BIT 2023 application deadline is 17th August 2023.
Entry Requirements Fro BIT Academic Year 2023
Starting from the Academic Year 2023, the following admission requirements must be met for enrollment into the Degree program:
(A) To be eligible, candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:
Obtain three passes in the Local G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination (New Syllabus) in a single sitting, or four passes in the Local G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination (Old Syllabus) in a single sitting.
OR,
Attain a minimum of three "C" pass grades in the Cambridge/Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Level Examination in a single sitting.
OR,
Successfully complete all the theoretical components of the Foundation in Information Technology (FIT) Programme conducted by the UCSC.
OR,
Acquire the Higher National Diploma in Information Technology (HNDIT) from the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE) with the certificate duly issued and verified.
OR,
Obtain an NVQ-Level 5 or above qualification in IT with the certificate duly issued and verified by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
OR,
Hold any other educational qualification deemed equivalent to the qualifications mentioned in paragraphs A (i) to (v) above, as determined by the Senate based on the recommendation of the Academic Syndicate of the UCSC, and successfully pass a selection test conducted by the UCSC.
AND
(B) Additionally, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
Obtain at least six passes in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination with three Credits, including Mathematics and English.
OR,
Attain at least six passes in the Cambridge/Pearson Edexcel International O Level Examination with three Credits, including Mathematics and English.
OR,
Possess any other educational qualification deemed equivalent to the qualifications mentioned in paragraph (B) (i) and (ii) above, as determined by the Senate based on the recommendation of the Academic Syndicate of the UCSC.

Application Fee for 2024 (Rs. 2,750.00 for Local students or USD 50 for foreign students) must be made using either using the bank voucher or online payment method.
Additional Guidelines
To apply for the program, follow these instructions:
Download the application form and print a hard copy.
Complete the form and sign it.
Bring the signed application form with you when you are called for the selection interview.
The application deadline is 17th August 2023. Ensure that your application is fully completed and submitted on or before this date.
Please be aware that the application fee is nonrefundable.
Internal undergraduates from state universities who meet the eligibility criteria are also eligible to apply for this program.
