Who can Apply
Required Qualification BIT Regular Entry
For BIT Level 1 (Regular Entry)
an applicant may be considered for Admission to the BIT degree programme, if he/she has:
1. Three passes in the G.C.E. (At) examination in one sitting and a credit pass for Mathematics in the G.C.E (0/L) examination.
2. Any other academic qualification, equivalent to 1 or higher. approved by the Senate on the recommendation of the Faculty Board Level 1
3. Any other qualification from a Professional Institution approved by the Senate on the recommendation of the Faculty Board. candidate who has obtained at least 6 passes in not more than two sittings and a credit pass in Mathematics at the GCE Ordinary Level Examination and a full-time Diploma/Certificate or higher qualification of at least 1 year duration from a recognized institution to have satisfied the entry criteria under section 2 above. (Applicants who do not qualify under section 1 must pass the Aptitude Test conducted by the Faculty)
For BIT Level 2 (Regular Entry)
To be considered for admission to the Degree programme at the Level 2 an applicant must successfully complete the Diploma Programme (i.e., the Level 1).
For BIT Level 3 (Regular Entry)
To be considered for admission to the Degree programme at the Level 3 an applicant must successfully complete the Higher Diploma Programme (i.e.. the Level 2).
Required Qualification for Lateral Entry
A candidate is deemed to have successfully completed the six-month (06) training period and all SLIATE HNDIT (new Curriculum) subjects.
Depending on their program, a candidate may begin level 3 without taking Level 1 or Level 2 subjects.
Document required for BIT registration (Regular entry Applicants
The below mentioned documents should be submitted to the document verification date given by the COD
- National Identity card or passport
- Birth Certificate (Original )
- G.C.E O/L certificate (Original )
- G.C.E A/L certificate (Original )
- Certificates of any other acceptable qualification in place of A/L
- Appointment letter (only for government officers)
- Documentary evidence to prove the tertiary education
- Original bank slip- Rs 1000.00 (Application fee)
Note : Applicant should bring the originals and one Copy of each document.
Document required for BIT registration (Lateral Entry)
The below mentioned documents should be submitted to the document verification date given by the CODL
- National Identity card or passport
- Original Birth Certificate
- Original G.C.E O/L certificate
- Original G.C.E A/L certificate
- SLIATE HNDIT transcript
- Original bank slip- Rs 1000.00 (Application fee)
Note : Applicant should bring the originals and one Copy of each document.
